Aid Reduce Holiday Stress With Humorous Christmas Cards
While most everyone else sends serene, religious or cheerful Christmas cards during the holidays you can make an impact by sending funny Christmas cards instead. Holiday stress reaches a crescendo when people spend excess amounts of money buying gifts for people they don‘t necessarily like and are visited by disrespectful relatives who snore loudly and eat everything in sight.
A funny card can be your outlet to protect your sanity, in a humorous way, as to how you relate to them.
But, be careful. I would advise really knowing your recipient’s sense of humor before sending them this type of card. Be careful the subject that hits your funny bone is not odorous to another.
While searching the Internet, I‘ve discovered many different groups of funny cards. A popular funny card depicts a wide array of animals dressed like reindeer. Remember, the purpose of your card is to humor another human being, so any lack of joy expressed by the animal wearing antlers on the card can take a back seat to your intent.
Babies regularly are the visual topics of humorous Christmas cards. There are cards with babies attempting to eat presents instead of opening them. There are pictures of babies knocking over Christmas trees, trying to eat branches off the tree, and/or making a cute face when they taste a pine needle.
Many people combine babies with the reindeer theme, photographing an infant trying to ride an animal such as a favorite dog adorned with the antlers of a reindeer.
More ideas for Christmas funny topics could include:
- Ms. Claus nagging Santa to lose weight or do mundane housework
- Santa doing naughty things
- Inconvenient events for Santa, like the sleigh getting a flat tire or Rudolph not making it to work
An absolute favorite card of mine centers around a note a young boy named Timmy leaves for Santa. After Santa has scarfed down the milk and cookies Timmy left for him, Santa’s face goes from satisfied to terrified as the note reads something like, “Dear Santa, if you leave a brand new bike under the tree I promise to give you the antidote for the poison I put in your milk and cookies. Until next year, Timmy”.
Truth is, funny Christmas cards can help your loved ones relieve some stress over the holidays. What‘s your favorite humorous Christmas card? Let us know in the comments!
