Tips On How To Hook Up LED Lights Around Your Holiday Tree
The Holiday season is the best time of year, adorning my home and the Christmas Tree. So how do you drape LED lights on a Christmas Tree? On we go to the fine art of hanging christmas lights on our Trees.... And yes, it can be regarded as an art. And to quite a few a fine art.
Make sure that before you get underway, to have everything you require nearby . This will eliminate not having a material you require while you are the on the ladder. So we will begin with the ladder, make certain you have a sturdy step ladder or small ladder handy . You will need this while you are draping the upper branches, even with a petite tree, being on a ladder makes stringing your LED lights much more convenient .
You will of course need your lights, an extension cord if the socket is not in close proximity or a step on off/on switch cord, makes lighting your tree simpler , and some patience.
Would you be astonished to find out that it is recommended that you begin hanging your Christmas Tree LED lights at the bottom? We had always begun at the top. Why? You can follow the electrical outlet with the string of LED lights and not have too much or too little remaining from hanging from the top. Never considered it that way before. You will also be able to begin with the correct male/female connections, ever string LED lights and end up with two female ends?
When adorning your Christmas Tree, always start with the lights. The lights are the first item that should be put on before garland or trinkets. Before you begin, make certain that the lights are working properly , nothing worse than wrapping the lights on the tree and half the strand is not functioning .
As you drape your LED lights use a weaving motion one light beneath a branch and the next light over , beneath and over . Insert the cord into the branches so the cord is out of sight.
Estimate your space as you drape your lights into the branches, alternate and space your rows so that there are no empty spots or clumps of lights together. Be especially careful not to clump the lights together at the topmost part of the tree. The top of the tree should be the showplace for your topper.
If you think you need more lights on your Christmas Tree, use additional strands and repeat the process of weaving from the top of the tree to the bottom.
Not positive how many lights you require, a quick rule of thumb is to take the height of your tree and times by 10. For instance, a six-foot tree would require approximately 60 feet... I know I go over the top on the amount of lights on my Christmas tree but just can't help it.
Now that you have finished stringing and are pleased with the lights on your Christmas Tree, it is time to embellish your tree with trinkets, garland and whatever tickles your imagination....
