8. You must keep the Christmas lights on only when you're awake at home. When you go out, you must turn them off. You must always exist when lights are on.
9. Even during the festival at what time you have visitors, check if all lights are undamaged and all connections are okay. This little inspection will take only a few minutes, however they could save big incidents.
10. After the festival, you must remove the lights carefully and pack them properly for later use. Do not leave extension chords or wires inside the house. Pick them up and place them at a safe place.
