Why Many Companies Bring Out New Weight Loss Products After Christmas
If you are always trying to slim down and lose some weight, you may well know about many of the new diets and diet products that start going on sale. You will inevitably have observed that quite a few of these brand new diet products tend to be released at approximately the same time of the year. You may well have assumed that it was a coincidence, but it is actually a deliberate ploy by the product creators so that they can drum up a huge amount of sales.
The months that I am specifically referring to are of course the two busiest months - December and January. Indeed you may well have noticed that quite a few of the new fat burning products, whether it's diet pills, fitness DVDs or weight loss books, for instance, will go on sale just after Christmas.
This is essentially when the diet season really gets going. At this time the Christmas get-togethers have finished once again, and a large number of people will begin to think about attempting to shed a significant chunk of the weight that they put on over the brief Christmas season.
The bad news is that nearly all of us increase our overall weight over Christmas, even if it's just a couple of pounds, and will later think about trying to lose this weight. The weight loss manufacturers know all about this trend, which is why they bring out their new products at the same time every year.
Even if these companies don't start selling their goods and services just after Christmas Day, they will often do so a few weeks prior to Christmas so that it is ready for the forthcoming diet season. This is actually what Advanced Health decided to do with their new Nuratrim dietary pill a few weeks ago, and it is a tactic used by quite a few other weight loss businesses as well.
It is not just the week or so after Christmas when these diet-related goods and services do really well either. The following month is also a huge month for any business that is involved in the weight loss sector. This is because a large number of people will try to stick to a new year's resolution at the start of the year, and many people will inevitably try to slim down.
Therefore members of the public will be more inclined to buy some of the best diet products in the month of January, which might be a fitness video, a new diet plan or a weight loss pill such as Phen375, for example. They will often give anything a shot in an effort to lose weight, so very often it is the goods and services that are most heavily promoted and advertised during the first month of the year that sell the most number of products.
Word of mouth also contributes to this as well. This is because if a vast amount of people tell their friends about a particularly product, then this product will surely be one of the more popular products on the market. Similarly if a well know celebrity recommends a particular product in a television interview, then this kind of positive publicity can really make a product sell really well.
So you can inevitably see why some of the most popular diet products hit the shelves either in the last week of December or after the new year. During this time you will see numerous TV ads for these weight loss products, but they are a lot rarer at other times of the year because a lot of businesses will advertise most and attempt to receive lots of positive PR during these two months of the year.
