Eradicate Doldrums Through Image Christmas Greeting Cards
Many suffer from depression and loneliness during the Christmas holiday season. This seems odd, as it’s such a joyous occasion for families who spend that time together. But for anyone experiencing the holiday season removed from family and friends, it can be a trying time of year.
If you know of such people, why not cheer them with up with photo Christmas cards you’ve either made or had printed for you?
Whether your card includes a family photo, a scenic photo, or even a humorous photo likely will be inconsequential to the individual who receives it. Hardly anyone can or would want to deny the pleasure they receive when someone thinks of them in a caring manner, like by sending them a Christmas card.

- Select important images from your past
- A shot of your entire family
- etc.) along with your chosen photo
Although some people look at the process of taking a family photo as an extremely difficult task, it doesn‘t have to be.
First of all, if it’s a Christmas-oriented family photo you want, one good idea is to start early. Don‘t allow perceived barriers such as not having your own Christmas tree in place be an obstacle. If there‘s a mall nearby, it probably has many stores that begin decorating for Christmas well in advance. Malls, and mall lighting often can provide you with the backdrop you desire for your Christmas photo well in advance of Christmas itself.
If you have young children and keeping still is an issue, bring stuffed animals, Christmas Bells, or even live animals that will keep them occupied for as long as it takes to get the photo(s) you are seeking.
Teenagers will be teenagers and might have no interest in a group family photo, but a wise parent can compensate. If you take photos of them doing what they like to do, such as playing basketball or riding a horse, odds are their cooperation level will exceed your expectations.
You also could take your family photo in an atypical location with atypical props. Your children perched atop a sleigh located on a beach might give card recipients cause to ponder. Your family might enjoy creating a snowman made of sand at a beach, personalize him with sunglasses or other props, then take photos of the snowman surrounded by your children.
The bright colors of fall can become a perfect backdrop for Christmas cards and eliminate any worries about waiting until late in the calendar year to shoot your desired photo. This could give you the opportunity to make or have your Christmas cards produced well in advance of the Yuletide season. The fall sights of children playing in piles of leaves and/or pumpkin patches, when captured on film, are pleasing any time of year.
The potential subject matter for photo Christmas cards goes well beyond the four major categories listed above and, in essence, only is limited by the imagination and creativity of the individual designing the card.
Yet, one basic remains. Your best wishes never will be communicated unless you actually send that Christmas card.
