The Main Reasons Why Diet Companies Release Products On Certain Dates
If you are always trying to slim down and lose some weight, you may well know about many of the new diets and diet products that start going on sale. You will inevitably have observed that quite a few of these new products tend to be released at roughly the same period of the year. You might put it down to coincidence, but it is a tried and tested tactic used by the manufacturers so that they can maximise their sales and make as much money as possible.
The time of the year that I'm talking about is of course December and January. Indeed you may well have noticed that many new weight loss products, whether it's diet pills, workout videos or brand new diet books, for example, will first go on sale to the public a few days after Christmas.
This is obviously when the weight loss season really starts to generate momentum. At this time of the year the Christmas festivities are a distant memory once again, and quite a few people will begin to contemplate trying to lose a fair bit of the weight that they added to their waistline over Christmas.
Sadly most of us increase our overall weight during the party season, even if it's only 1 or 2 pounds, and will subsequently want to try and slim down to our previous weight. The weight loss businesses are all well aware of this, which is the reason why they sell their new products to the public at the same time every year.
Even if the diet companies do not bring out their new products shortly after Christmas Day, they will often do so a few weeks prior to Christmas so that they know that it is fully ready for the upcoming weight loss season. This is in actual fact what Advanced Health decided to do with their brand new Nuratrim diet pill not long ago, and it is a sales tactic employed by quite a few other weight loss businesses as well.
It is not just the week or so after Christmas when these weight loss products sell in huge quantities either. The following month is also a crucial month for any firm or business involved in the weight loss industry. This is down to the simple fact that most people will try to stick to a new year's resolution at this time, and it will often involve trying to slim down.
Therefore people will be perfectly happy to invest in the most popular weight loss products in the month of January, whether it's a workout DVD, a new diet plan or a weight loss pill such as Capsiplex, for instance. They will often invest in a variety of different diet products in an effort to lose weight, so in a lot of cases it is the goods and services that are advertised most often in various media during this month that generate the most sales.
Word of mouth also contributes to this as well. This is because if a lot of people tell their friends about a particularly product, then this product will obviously do very well. Similarly if a celebrity endorses a specific product in a newspaper or magazine article, then this free and highly positive PR can really make a product sell really well.
So you can hopefully see why some of the big weight loss products tend to be released either a few days after Christmas is over or in the first week of January. During this time you will see many different TV ads for these products, but you don't tend to see them during the rest of the year because most diet firms will promote their products the heaviest and try and get a lot of good PR during December and January.
