Has Facebook become the new way to send Birthday Greetings? Probably – firstly it’s because of the convenience. You go online, type in a greeting and send, job done. No wandering the streets looking for suitable birthday cards and spending parking and petrol money. Secondly – you can give a person a really personal birthday greeting or birthday wish.
But – I am sure that everyone agrees – it’s not quite the same as getting and honest to goodness real paper birthday card in the post. There is just something about a physical card that says “I Care”.
Quite simply the answer is to buy a personalised birthday card on the internet. If you unsure you can access the personalised card websites and have a read around, what have you got to lose? It really is just as easy as banging out a few lines on a social networking site and is so much more personal and caring. Marks and Spencers cards are among my favourites.

OK – it’s not free like Facebook but you will be surprised at how inexpensive it actually is to send someone a truly personalised item. Something that lasts for more than the few moments that cyberspace allows us. Not only that – you can get a few friends together and make up a card from all of you, some sites will even give you the choice of downloading your own photo’s or artwork so that you can send a personalised birthday card from the whole gang and actually have a picture of the whole gang gracing the front of your friends card!
This time – make the effort. Send your friend, family member or loved one a proper personalised birthday card – it’s worth it.
