Do You Want The Theme Party To Be A Hit? - Three Recommendations Just For You

A birthday party for kids is a big deal, especially to parents. Parents would want to have their say on anything that goes on during the party. Parents want to know exactly what kind of party they will throw for their kids. Because the theme party is probably one of the best things that could happen to a kid or a group of kids, it should be a blast.

Theme birthdays are the trickiest to pull off. You should never forget to inform all the attendees that the party is a theme party. This means you should have a backup plan just in case someone comes in under dressed. With ample planning, birthday party planning should be easy for most parents. If you’re pitching in and planning a theme birthday party for kids, here are some recommendations.

1. Consult the Celebrant

Every guest that attends must be able to recognize the theme. Don’t go for old cartoon characters that were popular a decade ago. Themes are also gender-based so make sure the theme is appropriate to the gender of the celebrant. A smart move is to make sure the celebrant has his or her say in all this. The celebrant has a lot to say about what he or she wants for the party.

If there is no preferred theme, you can simply use color to theme up the party. Blue for boys, and pink for girls.

2. Synchronize the Favors With the Theme

A party favor is a must for every kid that attends a party. If it’s a princess party, make sure that the favors contain an element of the theme, even if it’s just the wrapping. Boys should also receive favors that are appropriate for them, but in the same theme as the rest of the party. This can be tricky because boys will surely not appreciate a magic wand or a tiara. For boys, prepare something that one of the Disney princes would wear, like a sword or a shield. A crown is also fitting for little boys, as long as the design is not too girly.

3. Menu

A theme is one thing, but sustenance is another thing. Any party can be a success if the food is good. The menu should also contain food that grownups would enjoy. One option is to serve grilled food. Hot dogs can be grilled for the kids, while the parents can enjoy sirloin steaks. Corn on the cob is also a staple if you have the grill going. Some food items include corn on the cob, salad and pies. Drinks can come from a dispenser, or someone can be in charge of giving away bottled drinks.
