Three Suggestions To Ensure That Your Kiddie Theme Party Is A Success
If you’ve met parents who are planning on the party of their kids, you’ll probably know that the excitement that surrounds all the preparation is palpable. Parents want their kids to have the best party ever. Parents want to know exactly what kind of party they will throw for their kids. For the sake of the kids and the parents, the party should be a blast.
Theme parties are easy to set up on paper, but in reality, they’re difficult to plan. The theme should be clear to all the guests early on, so that they can start planning for their outfit. You risk having to deal with guests that don’t know about the theme when they show up. If done properly, birthday party planning can be a piece of cake, really. If you’re pitching in and planning a theme birthday party for kids, here are some recommendations.
1. Consult the Celebrant
The kids must be able to relate to the theme. Some kids have tastes that are different from others. Themes are also gender-based so make sure the theme is appropriate to the gender of the celebrant. Perhaps the wisest thing you can do is to ask the celebrant about his opinion. The parents can tell you about what the celebrant wants if the child cannot talk yet.
If no particular cartoon is mentioned, you can simply choose themes according to colors. Girls would appreciate baby colors like pastel pink, while boys would want darker, ‘manlier’ themes like brown, blue and red.
2. Synchronize the Favors With the Theme
A party favor is a must for every kid that attends a party. If the party is a princess party, the wrapping of the favors should at least be according to the color scheme of the theme. Even if the party has a girly theme, the boys should not feel left out. This can be tricky because boys will surely not appreciate a magic wand or a tiara. Make the boys act like princes or escorts of the girls and give them scepters or shields. A manly crown is also in order if you want to stick with the princess theme.
3. Nourishing Food for the Party
Sustenance should never be lacking in any party. Any party needs good food to work. The menu should also contain food that grownups would enjoy. Grilled food can be an option if the weather allows grilling in the backyard. Hot dogs can be grilled for the kids, while the parents can enjoy sirloin steaks. Corn on the cob is also a staple if you have the grill going. Some food items include corn on the cob, salad and pies. Drinks can be self-service (using a dispenser), or someone can be in charge of handing out drinks.

The film was an advance in filming techniques in editing, production and story telling. Four hundred prints were sold, so many that the negatives wore out twice, requiring the film to be re-shot each time. Two professional actors were paid to appear, and the film is cited as the first film to have used paid actors.
