How To mMake Your Own Wedding Anniversary Card
Most people will never stay together long enough to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. In this day with the divorce rate hitting 50%, few people even survive the initial years of a marriage. Therefore, you should definitely celebrate the 50-year mark with a huge celebration. These are fun, lighthearted parties that almost make the bride and groom feel young again. As your part in the special remembrance, you will probably want to create an appropriate, unique card for the happy couple.
One of the best ways to have a beautiful card is to make it yourself. If you've never tried making greeting cards, you should. There are various methods that one can use to make a unique card. All you have to do to get started is to buy some cardstock.
You should consider making one that has a picture of the couple in their younger days on it. One option is to use a nice, cursive font with the words "Remember when". You should glue the words and the picture on the front of the piece of cardstock. The interior of the card could consist of a current photo. All around the outside edge of the photo your can write the names of the couple's kids and grandkids.
There are plenty of homemade cards on the internet that you can find. Looking at these cards is a good way to get inspiration to make your own. Don't think that you can only make your own cards if you have major talent, because a card doesn't have to be complicated to be effective. For instance, you could try gluing a ruffled paper heart right on the front of folded cardstock. The inside of the heart could have a pretty bow added to it. You could then put a nice picture from a magazine or ornate lettering that spells out "50 years".
Simply visit a local scrapbooking store to find embellishments that you can use. You can choose from all kinds of cute little sets of pictures and words that will allow you to make instant cards.
