What is an anniversary ring?
An Anniversary Ring is simply any ring that is given to mark an anniversary. There are a few different styles that are typically used for these occasions. One is the eternity ring, which is completely encircled with gems. The most commonly chosen style is a simple band that matches the original engagement ring or wedding rings, with a row of diamonds or gems across the top. Also popular are three-stone rings.
It is up to the couple to decide if they would prefer diamonds or gems. Some go for diamonds to complement their engagement ring and wedding ring. Others find creative ways to incorporate birthstones for months that bear significance in their personal history, be it the month in which they held their wedding, the birth months of the couple or their children, or something else.
When they are given:
There isn't a set time or reason for giving an anniversary ring. It might be given on the first anniversary of a couple's wedding, or the 23rd anniversary. Usually the cost of these rings means that couples tend to buy them only on very special anniversaries, such as 10th, 20th, 25th or 50th.
