Potentially The Perfect Anniversary Present - Water Underfloor Heating
A few months ago I was looking for some inspiration - my wedding anniversary was fast approaching and I wanted to treat my wonderful wife to a some what luxurious present - a present that she hopefully would never forget. It was to be our eighteenth wedding anniversary which I suppose is not particularly one of the special ones but I was still eager to make a big effort. In the end I decided to purchase some water underfloor heating - you may think that this is a rather bizarre choice of gift for such an occasion however this is something my wife has been wanting for a number of years now.
My wife is called Kath and we were childhood sweethearts. To the amazement of many of our family and friends we are still very much in love today. So why are they amazed Steve? Well I suppose it is because they believed that to meet so young and to then commit to each other for the rest of our lives was some what of a risk. Plus the majority of our friends have been through at least one divorce in their lives. In fact only one other couple in our circle of friends have had a marriage lasting over 15 years and even this couple are also now divorced.
Kath is a very proud mother and is somebody who spends the majority of her time at home. She likes to keep the house very tidy and as homely as possible. When visiting her Aunt and Uncle's house she fell in love with their underfloor heating and has been banging on about us also having it installed ever since.
I am pleased to report that Kath was overjoyed with her anniversary gift which should mean that I have a peaceful, nag free, few months ahead of me!

Working under Basilius Besler, a team of at least ten engravers worked on this massive project, translating in situ and specimen drawings faithfully to copper plates. Nearly four hundred years old, the book has survived though the gardens did not; they were destroyed by invading Swedish troops in 1634. However, in 1998 a reconstruction of the original garden opened to the public in Eichst?tt. This facsimile's reproductions - structured by seasons - are taken from a hand-painted edition, one of only a few still extant. In auction, the asking price for a first edition copy is half a million dollars. You can now enjoy its unique qualities for somewhat less. |
