Anniversary rings or eternity rings are usually worn along with engagement rings and wedding rings on a woman's finger. These gifts between husband and wife are given to celebrate a special date, the nature of which might be a little different from couple to couple.
What is an anniversary ring?
An Anniversary Ring is simply any ring that is given to mark an anniversary. There are a few different styles that are typically used for these occasions. One is the eternity ring, which is completely encircled with gems. The most commonly chosen style is a simple band that matches the original engagement ring or wedding rings, with a row of diamonds or gems across the top. Also popular are three-stone rings.
Couples have the freedom to choose whether they would like diamonds, or another kind of gem set into the ring. Many choose diamonds to correspond to their engagement or wedding ring. Others prefer to use birthstones that relate to treasured memories, such as the month in which they tied the knot, or birthdays of the couple or their children.
When are they usually given?
Anniversary rings can be given at any time, and for a variety of reasons. Because multi-stone rings are quite expensive, it is normal to save these rings for more significant anniversaries, such as tenth, twentieth, twenty-fifth and fiftieth. However, a couple may choose to celebrate any milestone in the marriage. This not just limited to their wedding anniversary: some couples opt to celebrate their engagement date, a significant time in their marriage, or the birth of a child with an anniversary ring.
How they are worn:
There are no hard and fast rules about which finger one should wear an anniversary ring on. Some women prefer to wear it on the fourth finger of their left hand, alongside their bridal set. Others prefer to wear it on their right hand, especially if the anniversary ring is very ornate and would clash with the rings on the left hand. Sometimes the original wedding rings become old and worn, or it will be decided to keep them as a family heirloom, in which case they might be replaced altogether.
Precautions to take in the care of your anniversary ring:
There are a few things you can do to keep your ring presentable. Make sure you don't accumulate nicks and scratches on the ring by taking it off to do housework, or when doing any harsh activities. Always put it in a safe place where it won't get scratched by other pieces of jewelry. Clean it periodically with a non-abrasive cloth and some gentle detergent.

Paranoid Park premiered on May 21, at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and was given a limited release on March 7, 2008. It grossed over US$4,481,000 from its $3 million budget. The film received mostly positive reviews; some praised the direction and cinematography in particular, though others believed the film to be overly stylized and slow paced. It won one Independent Spirit Award, two Boston Society of Film Critics awards and the Cannes Film Festival's special 60th anniversary prize. Alex (Gabe Nevins), a 16-year-old skateboarder, rides a freight train clandestinely with a man named Scratch (Scott Patrick Green) whom he has just met at the Eastside Skatepark, known as "Paranoid Park". While the train is moving a security guard working at the rail yard notices the pair, chases after them, and tries to get them off by hitting Scratch with his flashlight.
