Spending Your Anniversary as a Couple
You have made it this far together so why not celebrate your 50th anniversary with a little special time for just the 2 of you. A great tip is to take a couples-only holiday somewhere lovely. Think about that Caribbean cruise you have always hankered after or imagine toasting your commitment over a pitcher of French wine in Paris.
Of course, if you would like something a little closer to home consider having your 50th anniversary occasion at a really nice cafe. You may have a candlelight dinner and a poo toast at the end. Over pudding, you can exchange gifts also. Remember it's called your golden 50th wedding anniversary for a reason when you're choosing those gifts.
Throwing a Golden Anniversary Party
If you're going to be celebrating with your friends and family, someone else should be in charge of the party preparation. Usually, your children or possibly your siblings should be responsible for assembling the wedding anniversary party. Most 50th wedding anniversary occasions are a little more intimate and formal but they don't have to be. If you would prefer having a large celebration with onstage music, dancing, and lots of fun, then make sure you share that information with the individual throwing the event.
On the other hand, if you do desire something a bit more subdued, have the whole family meet at a nice restaurant to enjoy a meal together and to discuss memories of your wedding.
