How To mMake Your Own Anniversary Card
Most people will never stay together long enough to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. As evidenced by the high divorce rate, most people don't stay married more than a few years. With this in mind, it's a great idea to have a huge celebration for the 50-year mark. These light-hearted parties make the couple feel young again. A great way to celebrate the occasion is to make your own unique card.
Making it yourself is one of the best ways to get a beautiful card. If you've never tried making greeting cards, you should. It's a nice hobby to get started with, and there are so many different approaches you can take to any card you decide to make. You simply need to get your hands on some cardstock in order to get started.
You should consider making one that has a picture of the couple in their younger days on it. One option is to use a nice, cursive font with the words "Remember when". You should glue the words and the picture on the front of the piece of cardstock. The inside of the card could have a current photo. All around the outside edge of the photo your can write the names of the couple's kids and grandkids.
Pictures of homemade cards that others have made abound on the Internet. These will give you lots of ideas for making a card of your own. Even if you aren't that creative, you can still make your own card. You could put a ruffled paper heart right in the middle of folded cardstock. Then, you could simply add a bow to the inside of the heart. To finish the front of this card, all you'll need to do is add a lovely picture you've cut from a magazine or super ornate lettering spelling out “50 Years".
