You have to admit that reaching a 50th wedding anniversary milestone is a feat that the majority of people don't ever achieve. As evidenced by the high divorce rate, most people don't stay married more than a few years. With this in mind, reaching the 50-year mark is something huge to celebrate. These are fun, lighthearted parties that almost make the bride and groom feel young again. You should think about making your own card to celebrate the occasion.
One of the best ways to have a beautiful card is to make it yourself. If you've never made one before, then it's definitely something you should try. There are various methods that one can use to make a unique card. You simply need to get your hands on some cardstock in order to get started.
One of the easiest cards to make is one with a picture of the couple in their younger days. One option is to use a nice, cursive font with the words "Remember when". You should glue the words and the picture on the front of the piece of cardstock. The interior of the card could consist of a current photo. The edge of the photo could contain the names of the couple's kids and grandkids.
Pictures of homemade cards that others have made abound on the Internet. Looking at these cards is a good way to get inspiration to make your own. Even if you aren't that creative, you can still make your own card. For instance, you could try gluing a ruffled paper heart right on the front of folded cardstock. You could then go on to add a pretty bow to the inside of the heart. To finish thing, you simply need to put a lovely picture from a magazine or ornate lettering that says "50 years".
